These are the current Board of Directors for The Village Love and Hope Center. A varying group of professionals all willing to volunteer their time and talent to service the children of the Las Vegas community. The Village welcomes others within the community to volunteer as well.

SHARON SCOTT-WILSON
PRESIDENT Sharon is a mother of 5, a grandmother of 4 and a wife. Her professional experience ranges from being a professional hair stylist of 20 years to travelling with Gladys Knight as her background singer for many years. Sharon is a singer, songwriter and fashion designer who has a desire to bring out the best in children of all ages within her community. |
CHANEL WHITE
VICE PRESIDENT Chanel is currently a Training and Quality Assurance Manager overseeing a team of individuals whose primary goal is to create, monitor and maintain a standard of excellence for the national REIT corporation that she supports. While this role is a blend of instructional and graphic design, virtual and in-person facilitation, project and people management responsibilities; this is just the tip of the iceberg of Chanel's "things to do list" on any given day. Chanel is the Co-Founder of both an online retail clothing store and a business consulting firm - assisting new entrepreneurs to turn their visions into their professions. She also serves as a Marketing Director for a Women's Retreat Ministry and is a participating board member of Friends of Gospel, a local Community and Recording choir, who perform throughout the Las Vegas area. Chanel's previous management experience includes work as a Performance Coach at SolarCity/Tesla and 12years managing within the financial industry. She has a MBA in HR Management and has recently earned a Digital Marketing Certification from UNLV earlier this year. |
SHYRA ADAMSON
TREASURER Shyra is currently employed at Nevada State Education Association working as a Controller for Education Support Employees Association. She holds a Masters of Science in Accountancy. She has worked in a variety of accounting roles including for profit and nonprofit. Her value she brings to The Village Love and Hope Center is her keen eye to detail. Shyra's favorite quote from Maya Angelou "When someone shows you who they are, believe them the first time. People know themselves much better than you do. That's why it's important to stop expecting them to be something other than who they are." |
EILEEN DEADWILER
SECRETARY Eileen is no stranger to the non-profit world. For eleven years she held the titles of Executive Administrator and Creative Arts Director on staff at Jubilee Christian Center in San Jose, CA, a faith based non-profit. Eileen then served as the Director of Business Development for UPWARD (Uniting Professional Women Accelerating Relationships & Development), a non-profit supportive organization for like-minded female professionals and executives. Eileen is an author, a podcast host, and holds a B.S. degree in Business Management and a Graduate Certificate in Christian Theology. Eileen’s role in the Village enables her to be creative, and share insight in which her experience and knowledge is valuable to the team and the organization. Eileen’s favorite quote is from the late Dr. Maya Angelou, “I learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.” |
MYESHA BERRY
DIRECTOR OF PROGRAMMING AND EVENTS Myesha has over 10 years experience as a Facilities Coordinator, dealing with military personnel on Creech AFB. A few of her various responsibilities include maintaining the facility and supervising a small team of Coordinators to ensure projects are completed in a timely manner and according to protocol. |
SHIOBHAN HENDERSON
DIRECTOR OF EDUCATION Shiobhan Henderson was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada. She has a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Master's Degree in Education and a Master's in Educational Policy and Leadership. Shiobhan is an avid believer in education and overcoming circumstances to achieve goals, a belief that she shares with students and educators as an administrator in the Clark County School District. Shiobhan is a faithful and active member of New Antioch Church of God in Christ, under the leadership of Pastor Bobby Moore, where she serves as the praise and worship leader and youth and senior choir director. Shiobhan has loved the gospel music ministry since the age of 2, and is currently sharing her anointing with the lively Friends of Gospel community choir, where she is more affectionately known as "Flower Power'', and One Night Only ministries. She also participates in an annual all female, gospel group One Night Only in Las Vegas. Through her gift, Shiobhan has been blessed to sing background for gospel artists such as Earnest Pugh, Le'Andria Johnson, Tamela Mann, and Zacardi Cortez. Shiobhan has also sung for r&b, pop, and rock artists such as Mariah Carey, R. Kelly, New Kids on the Block, and Lou Gram.In addition, she has also had the honor to record with Friends of Gospel, Pastor DeSean Horne and Sharon Scott-Wilson. Shiobhan's favorite scripture is Phil 4:13 "I can do ALL things through Christ which strengthens me." Her desire is to uplift, inspire, and encourage the lives of God's people with her energetic praise, powerful soprano vocals, and abundant faith. |
